Warm, cozy, classic, and restrained are some of the words designers are using to describe Southern decorating trends this year. Bringing the outdoors in with windows — the bigger the better — visually expands rooms now that snug space is replacing wide-open floor plans. Eclectic pairings of antiques with modern objects are in, and so are minimalist bedrooms using 1970s colorways for fabrics and wall coverings.
