Coming in at number 7 in the 2024 Top Ten is a Chicago legend!
Mia Rosebud by Chicago restaurateur Alex Dana (nine Illinois venues and many celebrity patrons) is as down to earth as can be. Enthusiastic, friendly, well-trained servers keep apace of service and order at this busy Italian steakhouse serving oversized, shareable portions. Everything is delicious!

Order Calamari (grilled or fried), Baked Clams, Lemon Butter Shrimp, Stuffed Mushrooms, or Meatball in Polenta to start; then a salad, like a traditional Rosebud Fish Salad (calamari/octopus/shrimp/scungilli/ vinegar peppers/celery/garlic/lemon vinaigrette), 11-ingredient Chopped Salad, or Classic Chicago Meatball Salad (hand-rolled veal & beef meatball with Sunday Salad).

Add pasta before or with your steak, perhaps Ribbons Bolognese (freshly made mafaldine pasta, veal & beef tomato sauce), or classic Tortellini Carbonara (parmesan cream/prosciutto/mushrooms/sweet peas). The main attraction: prime steaks & chops and Italian specialties. Consider fork-tender 16-oz. Delmonico Vesuvio with peas/garlic/white wine sauce; 16-oz. NY Strip Italiano with white wine/ garlic/ vinegar peppers; bone-in Gigante Veal Chop, parmesan-breaded and pan fried, served Milanese style with tomato & arugula salad; Eggplant, Veal or Chicken Parm; or House Specialty, Brick Chicken, a crispy pan-roasted whole bird with oregan-lemon sauce. Desserts are huge and delicious: save room for shareable Banana Cream Pie (!) or Tiramisu.
