A local landmark, Henry’s on Jog Rd. in Delray Beach, is undergoing a metamorphosis. When Henry’s original owner, Burt Rappaport of Burt & Max’s, sold the venue in 2018 after 17 successful years, many of us applauded, assuming that the owners of Ke’e Grill would at least keep Henry’s ambiance and menu status quo, or possibly enhance it. Instead, the charming French Provincial decor was neutralized to plain grey and white, art and décor removed. The menu too slowly headed toward average.

It was a relief a few months ago to receive an email announcing that Henry’s had been sold again, this time to Florian and Laureen, a newly married couple from France, and Florian’s parents, Karine and Jean-Michel, who previously owned a very popular dining spot on Las Olas. Florian, a 2018 graduate of Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, returned to France to develop a culinary foundation and met Kareen, whose family is rooted in the restaurant industry. Together they chose to make Florida their home and Henry’s the object of their combined passion, energy and creativity.

The new Henry’s 3.0 is a work in progress, but the promise of exceptional service and an excellent customer experience is worth waiting for. Meanwhile, we’re excited to support this aspiring family who has brought some French flair to West Delray.
