The right venue for a special occasion requires not only good food and service, but also the right ambiance for the memories you want to make. The look and “feel” has to fit the occasion. Two celebratory restaurants opened in Boca about a year ago: Eddie V’s Prime Seafood and Meat Market. Be prepared to loosen your purse strings; the quality, preparation, service and ambiance do justify the expense.

Eddie V’s Prime Seafood in Mizner Park is posh, dressy, a throwback of sorts. Ladies, get out the jewelry and little black dress. Step inside the door and a lively bar scene surrounds you in the V Lounge, where live music plays nightly – a rarity in these parts! The elegant dining room is a tony space with. crystal chandeliers, large curved banquettes, white linen tablecloths, and the promise of a wonderful evening. The mindset at Eddie V’s is one of indulgence. Think Champagne, six varieties of oysters, Royal Ossetra Petrossian caviar, tableside center-cut Filet Mignon Steak Tartare… presented with flourish and artistically plated.

If your guests don’t mesh with old-school elegance, consider the sleek, contemporary Meat Market in the Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel. This soaring, sophisticated space, overseen by chef Sean Brasel, will flip-flop your expectations about steakhouses, particularly one brash enough to open smack in the middle of Boca’s “Steak Central,” where Abe & Louie’s, New York Prime, Capital Grille, Gallagher’s and Morton’s are all within walking distance!
