I teased you about Dada, and here’s the scoop on what you might want to order. The menu is eclectic, personal. Often, a combo of small plates along with a cocktail are a favorite option. A dozen mojitos, alcoholic or non-, and a wide selection of Florida beers are among featured beverages.
Grilled Italian Artichokes with lemon Parmesan Aioli and Balsamic; Crispy Cauliflower with Asian flavors; and Crab Cake with Key Lime Mustard Aioli and Grilled Corn Salsa (also an entrée) are some of the most popular. I’d be remiss in not mentioning the Honey BBQ Pork Belly Burnt Ends again.
For a light lunch or dinner, the Starving Artist combo, a four-cheese grilled cheese paired with tomato soup, is an updated classic. Global entrees run the gamut. Try Jalapeno-Agave Glazed Salmon with quinoa, grilled asparagus, cilantro crema and chipotle aioli; vegan Mushroom Tikka Masala, a vegetable and chickpea stew with cashew cream; or the signature Dada Burger, which held its own, but holds no secrets other than its Secret Sauce. Fresh Pappardelle with hearty Bolognese and whipped ricotta and the Chinese 5-Spiced Duck Breast with Fried Rice are top-sellers too.
Only a few desserts are on the menu, but they are delicious. Try the Fried Cider Doughnuts with cinnamon cider glaze and whipped cream, or Warm Banana Bread with caramel sauce and Haagen-Dazs vanilla. Dada is a quirky change from the norm and it fulfills its irreverent mission every day.
