Rest assured if you don’t want a dinner plate at Luff’s Fish House, hearty sandwiches are featured, from a Mahi Reuben to a Key West Pink Shrimp Po-Boy to Lobster Baconnaise. However, tantalizing offering involves no denizen of the deep at all; the amazing Grilled Steak Sandwich, with Balsamic Glaze, Truffle Gouda, arugula and tomato on toast, looks so much better than a plain ol’ burger, you should at least give it a try on one of your future visit to Luff’s.
Chef-owner Gismondi presents catches of the day including lobster in season along with mainstays Jumbo Lump Crab Cake atop Penne with Vodka Sauce; Coconut Curry Grouper with jasmine rice and wok vegetables; Seared Diver Scallops with Crab Fried Rice and cashews; Key West Snapper with Shrimp Creole sauce, asparagus and jasmine rice; Fettucine Pescatore Marinara with shrimp, scallops and clams; and Shrimp Parm on linguine with Marinara.
The Luff’s team knows that not everyone wants seafood all the time, so it wisely offers Country Fried Pork Chop with Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and Mushroom Gravy; Filet Mignon Au Poivre with Peppercorn Sauce, crispy fingerling potatoes; and tender BBQ Baby Back Ribs with Corn on the Cob, Cole Slaw and Buttered Corn Bread. It may sound like overkill, but order a side of the sweet potato tots loaded with mini marshmallows, broiled to perfection.
The dessert selection is small, but that’s because most everyone orders the signature Key Lime Pie. Try a piece because, well, you must!
