Restaurant Row (@ the corner of Butts Rd. and Town Center Rd.) is pulsating with energy, excitement and two dynamic dining venues, with two more under construction. Fiolina Pasta House is the second Florida dining venue (Fiola in Miami opened five years ago) for Michelin-starred/James Beard award-winning chef Fabio Trabocchi, who earned his stripes in London, New York, and ultimately six Washington D.C. area restaurants. He opened in Venice (Italy) not long after Miami. Then the planets aligned; Trabocchi met his wife in Boca and planted roots here. His international culinary awards and accolades are too numerous to mention. South Floridians, rejoice!
El Camino is the fourth location of outstanding from-scratch, Florida-based, “Mexican soul food” hospitality group MRG, with highly successful locations in Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm and Delray. Sourcing the freshest local and organic ingredients from the best local farmers, fishermen and ranchers, and preparing everything possible from scratch — from tortillas to sauces — El Camino has opened a window to authentic Mexican flavors. Except for Mexican culinary hubs (San Diego, LA, and San Francisco; Houston and Austin; Tucson, Santa Fe, Denver, Kansas City’s “Taco Trail” and Chicago), most so-called Mexican food in restaurants is Tex-Mex or Americanized Mexican. MRG’s goal is to provide an “authentic [Mexican] experience not typically seen in chain restaurants north of the border.” They are definitely doing that!
